Vintage Conditions
2016 was a standout vintage for Shiraz. The fruit was particularly intense in color and flavor, as showcased in this Family Selection, single varietal Shiraz. Autumn and winter were dry and cool which meant the start of the growing season was slightly delayed. Winter rainfall was low and some irrigation was used to replenish the soil moisture. Relatively mild summer climatic conditions with warm days and cool nights. An absence of extreme heat ensured even ripening therefore intensifying the varietal characteristics.

Wine Reviewer Comments
Richly fruited and instantly appealing, the wine shows blackberry, vanilla, cedar, smoked game and warm spice aromas on the nose. It's concentrated and wonderfully weighted with excellent power and persistency, backed by polished tannins, finishing impressively long and silky.
