Where We Are

To get to us you leave Adelaide, drive through the rolling Adelaide Hills towards Melbourne and on to the Naracoorte Ranges, east of the Kanawinka Fault. This fault folded the plains up from an ancient seabed millions of years ago.

You cross ancient aboriginal song lines towards the land that drew the white farming pioneers in the mid 1800s to create the cattle and cropping farms that thrive to this day.

What opens out in front of you is a small but highly productive agricultural area. It is tranquil and rural, pretty and unspoilt. You drive past sheep, cows, crops and unmanned farm gate stalls on quiet rural roads selling produce on an honesty basis. A veritable ‘basket of plenty’.

Old red gum trees abound, home to kookaburras and yellow-tailed black cockatoos. If you were to fly over the area, the birds’ eye view would be of vineyards like ours nestled in between gentle sloping farms and natural vegetation.
